Sentean Hospitality Group, one of the largest providers of infotainment and patient engagement solutions in the Netherlands, also known as Patientline in the hospital industry, and CareServant, a former Philips healthcare subsidiary providing patient engagement solutions in hospitals in the Netherlands, the UK, Germany, France and Switzerland, today announced they have entered into a definitive agreement to merge. The new group’s operations will have its main offices in Eindhoven.

“By merging our companies, we are significantly increasing our footprint in the healthcare industry – in both Cure and Care, both at home and abroad. These are very exciting times”, says Willem-Jan te Riele, CEO of Sentean Group. “The aim is to enable healthcare institutions to accelerate the digital transformation in terms of patient experience and healthcare processes, making them more efficient and competitive.”

After completion and formalisation of the merger, Willem-Jan te Riele will continue his activities as Managing director (CEO) of Sentean CareServant Group The Management Team will be complemented by Jurjen Eisink (CTO), Jan Catsburg (CFO) and George Frey (CCO).

The dominant position of the new combination is in the digitally advanced Dutch hospital market – with a market share in Patient Engagement Solutions of nearly 50% – and its successful iOS implementations with iPads and Apple TV (“Apple first-strategy”) provides a nice basis for local and international growth.

The merger creates a new parent company (holding) with full ownership of the established companies Sentean Group BV, New Patientline BV, CareServant BV and iQmount BV, who will continue to serve their respective clients and business partners unabatedly, as they are accustomed to.

With the new combination we will work on a wider range to products, services and support, across the healthcare landscape. With branches already established in Eindhoven and Vienna, the company also plans to open a branch in the United States later this year.
